SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. — A 13-year-old Sierra Vista boy has died after sustaining a gunshot wound as a small group of minors was possibly making TikTok videos, police said.

Police said they received reports Thursday night of gunfire near 7th Street and Frye Boulevard. By the time officers arrived to the scene, the police department was notified by a local hospital that someone was in their parking lot with a gunshot wound.

Police later identified the wounded subject as Khalil Robinson, 13, who died Friday morning from his injuries.

Preliminary information suggests that three minors were inside a parked car and possibly making social media videos when a gun was discharged and the bullet struck Robinson. Family members then took Robinson to the hospital.

It is unclear where the gunfire was from or what it was related to.

The case is still under investigation and anyone with information can contact Detective Corporal Jene Stewart at 520-452-7500.
