The driver failed to stop, drove through the median, across westbound lanes, and led the deputy into the desert after driving through a barbed wire fence.

The vehicle was left in a 4-foot wash and the suspects escaped and are still on the loose, according PCSO.

Inside the PT Cruiser, deputies found the marijuana and cell phones -- which were both seized.
