The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office seized 119 pounds of marijuana last Thursday after a pursuit led deputies into the desert.
According to PCSO, a deputy attempted to pull over the driver of a silver PT Cruiser for speeding eastbound on Interstate 8.
The driver failed to stop, drove through the median, across westbound lanes, and led the deputy into the desert after driving through a barbed wire fence.
The vehicle was left in a 4-foot wash and the suspects escaped and are still on the loose, according PCSO.
Inside the PT Cruiser, deputies found the marijuana and cell phones -- which were both seized.
