1 dead after head-on crash on US 60

The fatal collision was reported Thursday morning west of Globe.

GLOBE, Ariz. — One person has died following a two-vehicle collision Thursday morning on the U.S. 60 west of Globe.

The fatal crash has resulted in traffic restrictions in both directions between mileposts 227 and 241, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternative routes.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said at least one person involved in the collision has passed away. Details about circumstances leading up to the crash are under investigation.
