1 arrested following shooting at Prescott Valley park

Witnesses told officers that people in two pickup trucks fired at one another in the area between the basketball courts and dog park.

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. — One person has been arrested following a shooting at Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley on Saturday. 

According to the Prescott Valley Police Department, officers were called to Mountain Valley Park on Saturday around 7:29 p.m.

Witnesses told officers that people in two pickup trucks fired at one another in the area between the basketball courts and the dog park. 

Officers identified the people involved and arrested one man, according to police. 

The case remains under investigation but officers don't believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
