PHOENIX - Police say Amber Quinn bought a stolen check on Craigslist and tried to cash it.
In a probable cause statement filed with the Maricopa County Superior Court, Amber Quinn is accused of forging a check and trying to cash it at Bank of America. The clerk spotted the stolen check and police were called.
In the court filing, Quinn admitted to police that she bought the check on Craigslist.
Phoenix police say she told them she knew the name of the check did not match up, but she wanted the money and tried to cash it.
Quinn was trying to get just over $2,900 from the check.
Court paperwork says Quinn is currently homeless.
She is facing two counts of forgery.
