A Los Angeles man arrested in Arizona is facing charges of elder abuse against Stan Lee, Los Angeles Police Department said.
LAPD said Phoenix and Scottsdale police departments arrested Keya Morgan (a.k.a Keyarash Mazhari) Saturday morning.
Police said Stan Lee had been a victim in an elder abuse investigation that began since March 2018.
Stan Lee, the 95-year old Marvel Comic book creator, passed away on Nov. 12, 2018 from a pre-existing condition.
Morgan was Lee’s business manager and former associate when allegation of financial elder abuse started, LAPD said.
Morgan appeared before a judge Sunday morning to then be extradited to Los Angeles.
Morgan faces three charges, including false imprisonment and elder abuse, police said.
