GILBERT, Ariz. — Gavin Keppel is like most high schools students these days: looking for something to do.
The Perry High School junior came up with a useful way to spend his free time.
Keppel wants to help the elderly and those who don't feel comfortable going t the grocery store during the coronavirus pandemic. He's offering to do their grocery shopping for them for no added fee.
"I'll go get everything, get it delivered, you Venmo me the total, no extra fees," Keppel said.
"If he can help someone so they don't have to go out, then why not help people out," Gavin's father Scott Keppel said.
Scott Keppel is a longtime trainer in the Valley and owns Scott's Training Systems.
The business is closed during the coronavirus pandemic, but that hasn't stopped the Keppel family from helping people out.
They've been putting together helpful at-home workout videos for adults and kids stuck at home.
"We had to shut down, but we just feel we have gifts to give and we just have to give them differently now," Scott Keppel said.
If you live in the Mesa-Gilbert area and need some help going to the grocery store, you can send a text or call Gavin at 480-688-4835.
