Over 4,000 kids and adults slid down a giant water slide in Fountain Hills. It's called Slide the City.

"A giant slip and slide," said Nathan Jensen, who works for Slide the City. "It's a slide that's a 1,000 feet. Which is about 3 and a half football fields."

The giant, blue slide has three lanes. A stream of water carry each slider down to the bottom of Palisades Boulevard.

"We put a layer of foam underneath. About 850 sheets of foam and lined them up on the entire street. So there's no pebbles or anything. Everybody should just slip right down," said Jensen.

"It's just fun. It was a nice smooth ride. Good times," said one slider.

This was the first visit to Arizona for Slide the City. It will make three more visits to Arizona this year.

-Phoenix on May 16th near Chase Field.

-Flagstaff on July 11th.

-Tucson in September.
