Opening Day at Chase Field is an all day ordeal for Diamondbacks fans. That means traffic and parking options may vary throughout the day.
But here's what you need to know to get you started if you plan on attending:
Chase Field, home of the Diamondbacks is located in downtown Phoenix at 401 Jefferson St.
DRIVING:
If you're coming from the northeast Valley, meaning anything north of Scottsdale toward Cave Creek: The Piestewa Freeway will lead you all the way to the I-10 eastbound and turn right towards the ball park, take the Washington Street Exit, OR the I-10 westbound to the 7th Street. exit and turn left towards the ball park. (Both exits will likely be congested throughout the day so be sure to time your departure accordingly.)
Fans coming from Peoria and Glendale in the northwest: Use the I-17 southbound all the way to the Jefferson Street. exit, turn left, and continue east until you reach the ball park.
Scottsdale or east Mesa commuters can take the Loop 202 west to the I-10 and take the 7th Avenue. exit. Turn left on Van Buren Street or Jefferson Street.
From the West Valley, the I-10 to 7th Avenue. or the 5th Avenue. HOV Exits are the main routes. Turn right from the ramp and left on Fillmore, Van Buren, or Jefferson Street. to access parking options.
VALLEY METRO:
If you'd like to bypass the roads, Valley Metro will be providing extra light rail trains on Opening Day prior to and after the game. All day passes are $4.00. For more information on stops in the valley visit: http://www.valleymetro.org/
