PEORIA, Ariz - Rio Vista Community Park is a 52-acre park in Peoria that features the Rio Vista Recreation Center, multiple athletic fields, playground, 2.5-acre urban lake, splash pad and much more.
The park also features a the Veterans Memorial Wall, honoring all of those who have served and are currently serving our country.
“The Veterans Memorial just got a facelift back in 2017, we added a Vietnam helicopter," said Kevin Naughton, City of Peoria Recreation Superintendent.
The family activities continue indoors.
“The Rio Vista Recreation center is a 51,000 square foot recreation facility. It’s a multi-purpose facility with a gymnasium, a rock wall, racquetball, we have a fitness center upstairs and a walking track," said Naughton.
To access the recreation center, you can purchase daily passes, monthly or annual passes.
“Our pass holder program is open to everyone, not just Peoria residents. We also offer some Medicare supplemental programs such as Silver Sneakers and Silver and Fit, where your insurance actually pays your membership," said Naughton.
