GILBERT, Ariz. — A Gilbert teen has a lot to brag about. Recker Eans, 14, was just nominated for his first Grammy Award.
Eans is nominated in the Best Children's Album category for his role in Alice Cooper's Rock for Children band. Eans composed and played drums on Rock for Children's "Solid Rock Revival" album.
"To ALL of my friends/fans/followers/supporters: Please consider this album as its for kids by kids and ALL proceeds go to help kids @alicecoopersolidrock teen centers," Eans wrote on his Facebook page.
The official Town of Gilbert page congratulated Eans on his nomination.
"At just 14 years old, this talented musical artist and drummer has already performed live worldwide with bands like The Used, Pop Evil, Pennywise, and The Wrecks," the post said. "That's not all—Recker was also an Emmy nominee for his role as co-host and drummer on "The Kids Tonight Show" on Peacock.
"This incredible teen is proving there's no limit to what he can achieve. Your hometown is cheering you on, Recker!"
The Grammy Awards are scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 2.
