PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. — Central Arizona College is investigating how the roof of its fine arts auditorium suddenly collapsed over the weekend.
No injuries were reported when the roof of the CAC Pence Center caved in, which resulted in the facility temporarily shutting down. The auditorium is located at the Signal Peak campus near Coolidge and is home to many arts events throughout the year.
A production of the musical "Heathers" was scheduled to take place at the Pence Center this upcoming weekend.
A spokesperson for the college said administrators are working to determine if upcoming performances can be relocated to another venue or must be cancelled. Patrons who have already purchased tickets for upcoming events will be notified of any changes, the spokesperson said.
