PHOENIX — A woman was found dead in a Phoenix home on Sunday morning after her landlord noticed a trail of blood outside, according to the Phoenix Police Department

Police said they were called to a home on the 2700 block of West Devonshire Avenue, which is near the intersection of 27th Avenue and Indian School Road, just before 8:30 a.m.

The caller told officers he found blood on his driveway that led into his tenant's portion of the home.

When officers went inside, they found 24-year-old Andrea Casarrubias Romero dead. Police said she had been stabbed multiple times.

Police added that their investigation appears to show that Romero was attacked overnight.

Eduardo Ramirez-Galindo, 32, has been identified as a suspect in the case.

Police said Ramirez-Galindo turned himself into Border Patrol agents in Lukeville on May 6. He's been booked into the Maricopa County jail and is facing a charge of second-degree murder.
