PHOENIX — A woman has been detained by police after she was allegedly discovered dragging a body in a blanket in west Phoenix, according to authorities.
The Phoenix Police Department said the incident happened Monday near Interstate 17 and McDowell Road when officers responded to an "unknown trouble call" from a motel in the area.

As officers arrived at the motel they found the woman "pulling the remains of a deceased man in a blanket," according to police.
Preliminary information from the investigation "suggests there is no foul play," police said.
The man's name and cause of death have not been released by investigators.
The investigation into the incident remains active.
