Man identified in fatal shooting involving US Marshals in Flagstaff

U.S. Marshals were attempting to arrest 25-year-old Michael John De Ubl, when the shooting took place.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — The FBI is investigating a deadly shooting involving U.S. Marshals in Flagstaff Wednesday afternoon.

Officials said state and federal officials were conducting a joint operation in the 2200 block of Izabel Street when the shooting occurred.

U.S. Marshals said deputies were attempting to arrest 25-year-old Michael John De Ubl when he showed a handgun. Deputies fired at De Ulb, striking him.

Officials said life-saving measures were attempted; however, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. No officers or civilians were injured during this incident.

The FBI's investigation into the shooting is still ongoing.

Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case. 

Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
