Deputies and the Tonto Basin Fire Department arrived at the scene and found both of the teens had gunshot wounds to the head.

"The initial report indicated that one fifteen-year-old male shot another fifteen-year-old male, then shot himself," the sheriff's office said.

First responders found one of the teens was still breathing and he was airlifted to a Phoenix trauma center. The other teen was already dead.

Investigation revealed that a group of seven people, ranging in age from 15-20, were there when the shooting happened. All but one person in the group had been drinking.

Other details about the shooting were not released.

This is a developing story; additional details will be added as they become available.
