Teen suspect in the case of Preston Lord's death sentenced to probation in 2 additional assault cases

Jacob Meisner still faces first degree murder charges in the death of Preston Lord in 2023.

PHOENIX — A teenage suspect in the death of Queen Creek teen Preston Lord was sentenced to probation Friday in two additional assault cases.

Jacob Meisner, who is one of the teen suspects facing first-degree murder charges in the 2023 death of 16-year-old Lord, was sentenced by a judge in Maricopa County juvenile court to probation for his role in two separate cases of assault involving other teens.

One assault case occurred in November of 2022 and another occurred in May of 2023.

Meisner has been in custody since he was arrested for allegedly being involved in Lord's death. The judge ruled today that Meisner, who is 17, will remain in juvenile detention until he turns 18, at which point he will be moved to adult custody.
