PHOENIX — A defendant involved in the Preston Lord case has been released from custody, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
20-year-old Dominic Turner was the fourth person charged in the death of Lord to post bail. He was released from custody on Oct. 5 and placed on electronic monitoring, MCSO said.
Seven people, including Turner, are charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping in connection to the attack on Lord in October 2023. Lord, 16, was at a Halloween party in Queen Creek when the fatal attack occurred.
In a September court hearing, a judge recently reduced the bonds for Turner and other defendants Jacob Meisner and Talan Renner.
Turner's secured bond was set at $250,000 and if he posted bail, he would be on house arrest, surrender his passport, be subjected to random drug testing and have to stay off social media.
