GILBERT, Ariz. — The Gilbert Police Department continues to arrest suspects in several teen violence cases in the East Valley.

Tuesday, the department announced two more teens were arrested in connection with the violent robbery and assault that happened at a Gilbert In-N-Out parking lot in August 2023.

19-year-old Deleon Haynes and a 17-year-old juvenile, who was not named, have been charged with aggravated assault and robbery in the case.

The victim's father previously told 12News that his son was taken to the emergency room after the attack and he later decided to send his son overseas to live with his mother due to the dangerous situation.

Christopher Fantastic and Aris Arredondo, both 18, were previously arrested and indicted in the attack. Two unnamed 16-year-olds were also previously arrested.

The August incident occurred a couple of months before 16-year-old Preston Lord sustained fatal injuries during a Halloween party in Queen Creek -- a case that has brought a spotlight on the prevalence of teen violence in the East Valley and the so-called "Gilbert Goons" group.

The arrests are not related to the Lord case.
