Teen killed in Wednesday night shooting

The shooting happened near Peoria and 67th avenues overnight.

GLENDALE, Ariz. — A 16-year-old boy who was shot late Wednesday night near Peoria and 67th avenues died Thursday, police said.

Police have Joshua Rodas, 19, and a 15-year-old male in custody.

City police responded to a shooting call near Peoria and 67th avenues late Wednesday night and found the teen with life-threatening injuries. First responders took him to the hospital.

"The investigation is still very active, information is sensitive.  Therefore, to not compromise the investigation, we can confirm a shooting occurred in a business parking lot on the southeast corner of the intersection," Glendale police said.

Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case. 

Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
