PHOENIX — A teen is in critical condition after being shot in south Phoenix on Wednesday, officials with the Phoenix Police Department said.
Officers were called to the area of 83rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road after reports of a shooting. They arrived to find a teen with at least one gunshot wound, officials said.
The teen was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Detectives with the department are headed to the scene to take over the investigation, officials said.
There was no information given regarding a potential suspect.
