PHOENIX — Four teens have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Marc Leyva last month, Phoenix police announced.

Leyva was found with multiple gunshot wounds near 7th and Southern avenues just before 9 p.m. Tuesday on Nov. 28. He was taken to a local hospital where he  was later pronounced dead, officials said.

Homicide detectives reportedly found "dozens of bullet casings" at the scene of the crime.

On Dec. 14, detectives found and arrested 18-year-old Dareon Harris as well as a younger teen boy after evidence allegedly linked the two to Leyva's death. Police did not release the younger suspect's identity.

Four days later, 19-year-old Leonard Brown was identified and arrested. The fourth suspect, 18-year-old Takari Humphreys was found and arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 20.

All four suspects reportedly admitted to their involvement in a "premeditated robbery that resulted in the death of Leyva," police said.

They're facing charges including first-degree murder, attempted robbery and aggravated assault. Police said there are no other outstanding suspects.

This is a developing story; additional details will be added as they become available.
