Teen arrested in deadly shooting of convenience store customer

The Phoenix Police Department has arrested a teen suspect in a deadly shooting at a convenience store near 75th Avenue and Camelback Road.

PHOENIX — A teen has been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting at a convenience store, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

A customer at a 7-Eleven was shot and killed Tuesday, just after midnight near 75 Avenue and Camelback Road, police said. 

Investigators looked at the store's security footage and were able to identify the male teen as a suspect in the shooting. Police obtained a search warrant and the teen was arrested.

The teen has been turned over to juvenile community corrections and is facing several felony charges, police said.

Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case.

Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
