PHOENIX — A student at Cornerstone Charter High School was detained by police Wednesday after police said the individual brought a gun on campus.
Phoenix police said they were called to the school, near Black Canyon Freeway and West Glendale Avenue, for reports of a student with a gun at the school. Police contacted the administration and were told a student did have a gun which was in the possession of the school principal, police said.
The student was detained and is in the process of being booked into a juvenile corrections center, according to Phoenix police. The age of the student was not given.
