3 arrested in multi-agency sting to catch 'sexual predators that prey on children'

HOLBROOK, Ariz. — Three people have been arrested in a multi-agency sting to catch sexual predators in Holbrook, according to authorities.

Bobby King, 43, of Lakeside, Jimmy Matlock, 43, of Concho, and Rumaldo Pedraza, 44, of Show Low, were arrested during the sting, Navajo County officials said.

"I want to thank all law enforcement agencies who supported and helped out with this operation in Navajo County," said county Sheriff David M. Clouse.

Those arrested are facing various charges including the aggravated luring of a minor for sexual exploitation, attempted sexual conduct with a minor and child sex trafficking.

"The operation was a success in targeting individuals who seek to cause harm to minors in our communities," said Pinetop-Lakeside Police Chief Dan Barnes.

  • Arizona Attorney General’s Office
  • Major Crimes Apprehension Taskforce
  • AZ State Gang Task Force 

Authorities said it's important for parents to talk to their children about the "dangers of the internet and social media" and be sure proper parental controls are in place.
