PHOENIX — Police are searching for a suspect who stabbed a man, leading to his death, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The department told 12News that officers responded to an area near 16th Street and Indian School Road at about 6 p.m. on Sunday after getting a call about an injured person.
When officers got to the scene, they found a man who had been stabbed. That man was "rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries," the department said. The man, whose identity hasn't been released, later died.
Officers searched around the area where the stabbing happened, but they were not able to find the suspect.
Officers are still investigating what led up to the stabbing.

Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case.
Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
