1 dead after stabbing incident in north Phoenix, suspect arrested

The incident happened late Tuesday afternoon near Cave Creek Road and Greenway Parkway.

PHOENIX — A man is dead and two others are injured in a stabbing incident at a home in north Phoenix Tuesday.

Phoenix police said officers were called to the home near Cave Creek Road and Greenway Parkway just after 4 p.m.

Officers found an adult female and two adult males suffering from serious injuries when they arrived.

Arturo Cabrera-Garcia, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ulises Alexander Garcia-Garcia, 22, was treated at the scene for his injuries and later taken into custody on suspicion of killing Cabrera-Garcia.

Police said the female was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said two juveniles were also inside the home, both of which were unharmed. 

Detectives are still working to determine what led up to the stabbing.

Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
