Woman fatally stabbed near Phoenix business, suspect arrested

The stabbing happened near Cave Creek and Cactus roads around midnight.

PHOENIX — An investigation is underway after a woman was fatally stabbed near a Phoenix business at Cave Creek and Cactus roads overnight.

According to early reports from the Phoenix Police Department, officers were called to the area around midnight. There, they found a woman suffering from a stab wound.

First responders rushed the woman to a hospital where she died from her injuries, officials said.

The man suspected of stabbing her drove away from the scene, police said, but was later arrested.

Detectives are working to learn more about what led up to the stabbing. The identities of the woman and the suspect were not released.
