PHOENIX — A Phoenix teen was riding a miniature motorcycle when he was hit by a minivan and seriously injured on March 22.

The driver left the scene and now, three months later, police are asking for the public's help in finding them.

Silent Witness said a 17-year-old named Brendan was riding the miniature motorcycle with a group of friends on Seventh Street near Thunderbird Road at about 7:20 p.m. on March 22 when a woman driving a red minivan pulled out of a private drive and hit him.

Brendan suffered serious injuries, including broken legs, in the crash and is still recovering.

After the collision, the woman, who is described as being about 50 years old with brown hair and wearing shorts, got out of the van to see what happened. Soon after, she was confronted by a witness of the crash, got back in the car and drove away.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for any information that leads to the woman's arrest.

If you know anything, you are asked to call Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS (948-6377), or 480-TESTIGO (837-8446) to report your tip in Spanish. More information on reporting tips to Silent Witness can be found below.
