GLENDALE, Ariz. — A man was walking to his apartment in Glendale when he was stabbed to death in 2019. His family and police are still searching for answers.
Silent Witness and the Glendale Police Department are seeking the community's help in identifying the suspect or suspects involved in the death of 36-year-old Carlos Chavez.
Family said Chavez had and big heart and loved his family.
“They don’t know what they took from us," Eric Cruz, Chavez's cousin, said. “He was just those one-of-a-kind people that come into your life and that you can never replace.”

While walking to his apartment near Camelback Road and 58th Avenue on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, an unknown suspect got out of the passenger side of a white four-door older model Toyota Corolla and stabbed Chavez to death.
The night of the attack still weighs heavy on Chavez's family.
"It really devastated me and still haunts me to this day," Cruz said.
They're pleading for answers and asking anyone who knows anything to come forward.
“It’s not going to bring him back but it would give us some kind of closure," Cruz said.
