Police: Shooting in central Phoenix leaves 2 hurt

One man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

PHOENIX — An investigation is underway after two men were shot in central Phoenix. One of the men has life-threatening injuries, city police said.

Officers were called to an area near 22nd Street and Thomas Road overnight on Monday. When they arrived, they found the two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

First responders took both men to the hospital. They have not been identified at this time.

Investigators are working to learn more about what led up to the shooting. Police have not released any information about a potential suspect.
