PEORIA, Ariz. — A man who had been advertising himself as a private tutor in the Valley has been sentenced to 35 years in prison after police found incriminating videos in his possession.
Carl N. Fredricksen was recently sentenced to the Arizona Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to sexually exploiting a minor.
Peoria police arrested Fredricksen in 2020 after a parent reported that the defendant showed explicit videos to their children and asked if the children wanted to partake in what the minors were doing in the videos.
At the time of his arrest, Peoria police said investigators found several "disgusting" photos and videos on Fredricksen's hard drive that depicted minors being abused. Police were able to identify several of the victims depicted in the visual materials.
The Maricopa County Attorney's Office announced the defendant's conviction earlier this week.
Fredricksen's projected release date is July 2055.
