PHOENIX — For years, residents in and around Phoenix's 19th Avenue corridor have been putting up with excessive graffiti in their area.
Now, the man suspected of leaving more than 750 tags around the busy roadway has been indicted on multiple felony charges, the Maricopa County Attorney's Office announced Monday.
Jordan Dale Quimayousie, 33, is accused of vandalizing bus stops, sidewalks, curbs, crosswalk signs, buildings, fire hydrants, and more. MCAO described him as a "prolific tagger."
The alleged vandalism caused over $57,000 in damages over the years, according to the announcement.
Quimayousie is facing felony charges including one count of criminal damage and two counts of aggravated criminal damage.
He is being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
