PHOENIX - Multiple suspects were taken into custody Tuesday after a police chase that traveled across the Valley.

On Wednesday, police released the names of the four people taken into custody.

The driver, 22-year-old Scotty Arnold Hernandez was arrested for two counts of armed robbery, one count of robbery, two counts of stolen vehicle, one count of burglary, one count of unlawful flight from police and two counts of aggravated assault.

He is suspected of stealing a 1996 Audi A6 sedan on Feb. 26, which is the original car that was used in the chase. During this incident, police say he also stole jewelry and two iPhones, after pointing a semi-automatic handgun at the victims.

Then on March 2, Hernandez and another suspect are accused of breaking into a Domino’s Pizza restaurant with a grinder, sledge hammer, and a pry bar. They attempted to enter the store’s safe, but police said they were unsuccessful.

During the police chase, Dosmieke Sinclair, 22, jumped out of the Audi with a shotgun in Avondale and ran into an apartment. Officers negotiated with Sinclair before he came out without incident.

Sinclair told police he didn't know the car was stolen until they were being chased. He has a prior conviction for smuggling Mexican nationals across the Arizona border for profit and is banned from carrying a firearm. He said he knew he'd be a felon in possession of a firearm, but it was worth it to help his friend.

A third passenger in the car was interviewed and released pending further investigation, police said.

The chase began when police spotted the blue Audi near 24th Street and Indian School Road Tuesday afternoon just before 2 p.m.

During the chase, Sinclair was dropped off at an apartment in Avondale where he eventually surrendered to police. Then, after one of the Audi's tires was punctured by a spike strip, Hernandez exited the car and carjacked a woman's white pickup truck. Two passengers, including Barragan, were left in the Audi who were immediately taken into custody.

The pursuit continued and police kept their distance. It would end after Hernandez abandoned the stolen truck and attempted to hide inside an apartment, his residence, near 17th Avenue and Mountain View Road, police said.

Police said Hernandez was taken into custody without further incident.

Sinclair has a bail set low, only $1,500. Hernandez's bail is $150,000.
