PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix woman is facing charges after police say she repeatedly stabbed her boyfriend in a Phoenix apartment they shared.
Phoenix police say 23-year-old Zynia Chapman attacked her boyfriend just before midnight Saturday. She then cut her own neck, but her injuries were not life-threatening.
Police found her the next morning on a freeway overpass.
According to court documents, she detailed a plan to kill her 25-year-old boyfriend and then herself in a journal entry last week.
His name hasn't been released.
Chapman has been appointed an attorney. But the Maricopa County Public Defender's Office says no one has been assigned to the case yet.
She's being held on a $1 million cash bond.
