Peoria PD officer arrested in domestic violence incident

PEORIA, Ariz. — A Peoria police officer was arrested by officers with the Surprise Police Department for a domestic violence incident, according to Peoria PD.

The officer was identified as Kevin Moe.

Moe was placed on administrative leave immediately after the department was notified, according to Peoria PD.

The Surprise Police Department is handling the criminal investigation while Peoria PD has begun an internal investigation. 

Moe will remain on administrative leave at least for the duration of the internal investigation.

"We hold all members of our Department to the highest standards and thoroughly investigate all incidents of alleged misconduct," Peoria PD said in a statement. "Due to the ongoing internal investigation, we are unable to provide any further information at this time."
