PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. — An apparent road rage incident in Pima County ended with one man dead and another facing second-degree homicide charges, county sheriff's office officials said.

Pima County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the area of Ajo Highway and Kinney Road near Tucson Estates for reports of a shooting on the roadway.

There, they found 56-year-old Martin Bloom with a gunshot wound and provided first aid until the Drexel Heights Fire Department arrived to take Bloom to the hospital, PCSO said.

Bloom later died at the hospital.

Deputies soon found the suspect, 77-year-old Robert Ryan, nearby after he left the scene of the shooting. Ryan was arrested and booked into jail, facing possible second-degree homicide charges.

There are no outstanding suspects and the investigation is still underway.

PCSO did not disclose details about what led up to the shooting.
