MESA, Ariz. — A suspect has been taken into custody on suspicion of killing a 22-year-old in Mesa, according to officials.
Mesa officials said the deadly shooting happened Monday afternoon near Brown Road and Stapley Drive. Deazo Seghi was found in a parked vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.
Seghi was taken to the hospital and later died.
Witnesses provided officers a description of the possible shooter and Mesa police were able to detain a man who matched that description.
The suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Tyler McGuire.
Mesa police said McGuire was allegedly in possession of a handgun that matched with ammunition left behind at the crime scene. McGuire has been taken into custody and is facing a charge of second-degree murder.
