MADISON COUNTY, Texas — A new image has been revealed of the victim in an unsolved case involving the remains of a young girl found in Madison County over eight years ago.
On Sept. 17, 2016, a black suitcase was found at the edge of a property off of I-45 near the city of Madisonville--about 38 miles northeast of Bryan, 95 miles north of Houston--and discovered the skeletal remains of an unidentified child wrapped in a white trash bag.
The girl, referred to as "Baby Madison", was found with a size 4T long-sleeve pink dress from the brand "Mon Petit" with butterflies that read "Follow Your Dreams" as well as a size 4 diaper and a feeding tube.
It's speculated that "Baby Madison" likely required specialized medical care during her short life. Officials also believe that she has ancestral ties to Nuevo Leon, Mexico and El Salvador, according to genetic testing results, but were unable to pinpoint where exactly she was raised.
In a press conference on Thursday, Nov. 21, a new rendering of what the girl's face may have looked like was revealed. It can be found below.
The new rendering offers a different perspective to a previously released photo of "Baby Madison" who was believed to have a lower jaw that was smaller than normal due to micrognathia, a condition believed to be associated with genetic syndromes and conditions.
It was also pointed out that "Baby Madison" had long and thick black hair.
The new forensic evidence from experts points to "Baby Madison" not having suffered from micrognathia. Officials say that despite the new evidence suggesting otherwise, there may have been another medical condition that required her to receive food from a feeding tube.
Despite the new rendering, leads on the case of "Baby Madison" have not brought authorities closer to solving the case. Tips have taken officials to many states and other countries, including Arizona where she was previously believed to have ties to, however it was noted that Arizona was ruled out as a state where "Baby Madison" had a potential connection to.
