PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. — The Pima County Sheriff's Department has recently identified human remains found near Interstate 10 more than a decade ago.

A road crew discovered the man's remains in December 2012 and investigators determined he had been the victim of a homicide.

On Tuesday, the sheriff's department announced that genealogical research helped to identify the deceased man as Frederick Dale Huddleston, who was known to frequent places in Arizona, Florida, Texas and Colorado.

Huddleston had been experiencing homelessness around the time of his death and the last known contact with him occurred in 2008, the sheriff's department said.

Anyone with information about Huddleston or his death can contact the sheriff's department at 520-351-3486.
