'Multiple acts of animal abuse' committed overnight at Phoenix school, police say

​A report was made and forwarded to investigators, police said.

PHOENIX — Phoenix officers responded to a burglary overnight at a Phoenix school and found several animals had been abused, officials with the Phoenix Police Department said. 

Officers responded to the school, near Loop 202 and Desert Foothills Parkway, and found that the burglary suspect committed "multiple acts of animal abuse," a statement from the Phoenix Police Department said.

A report was made and forwarded to investigators, police said.
