Dear Mountain View High School families,
I hope this message finds you well. Today, we were informed of a concerning situation involving a student who may have brought drugs and a firearm onto our campus. Mountain View administration, working collaboratively with our security team, Mesa Public Schools District Security, and Mesa Police, quickly took action.
The student, known to us, was promptly removed from campus and Mesa Police successfully confiscated the firearm and drugs from the student's personal vehicle in the parking lot. The individual has been arrested.
At Mountain View, the safety of our students and staff is our utmost priority. In line with this commitment, both District Security and Mesa Police diligently investigate all incidents that could potentially impact our school community until they are fully resolved.
Ensuring the safety of our school environment is a collective effort.
