Joseph Delegge, 22, was shot and killed by a 17-year-old after he stopped and tried to help the driver of a crashed car.

Delegge and the driver confronted three of the juveniles at a nearby parking lot. Police say Delegge had a handgun in his waistband and ordered the juveniles to stay while he called 911.

A fourth passenger of the Hyundai showed up and confronted Delegge. When Delegge took his eyes off him, police say 17-year-old Antonio Misquez pulled out a revolver and shot Delegge in the face.

Delegge was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

The juveniles all fled the scene, but they were all arrested by the Tempe Police Department

Misquez was booked into Durango Holding Facility and faces multiple felonies, including murder.
