TEMPE, Arizona — A man was shot near Tempe Town Lake early Saturday morning, police said.
Tempe police officers and fire medical rescue were called to the area of East Tempe Town Lake for a shooting on Oct. 14, just after 4 a.m. Once officers arrived on scene, they located a man who was transported to a hospital for further treatment, police said.
Police said the man who was shot was walking in the parking lot with his friend when an “unidentified suspect” approached the man and allegedly shot him prior to leaving the area in an unknown vehicle.
The man who was shot is currently in stable condition, police said. The shooting was an isolated incident, according to police, and no one else was shot.
The identities of the man who was shot and his friend have not been released.
