1 man, 1 teen arrested for fatal shooting in Phoenix

Police say the victim was fatally shot near Avenue and McDowell Road. One man and a teenager have been arrested.

PHOENIX — Phoenix police have arrested two suspects in connection to the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old man in west Phoenix Tuesday night.

When officers responded to the shooting call near 59th Avenue and McDowell Road, they found Jesus Gonzalez Berrelleza with a fatal gunshot wound.

Police say the victim had gotten into an argument at a local restaurant with 20-year-old Gilberto Millan. At some point a teenage boy drove up to the business and Millan allegedly retrieved a gun from the teenager's car, police say.

After shooting the victim, Millan allegedly fled the scene with the teenager.

Millan was booked into jail for first-degree murder. The teenage boy was detained at the Juvenile Correction Center for facilitation to commit first-degree murder.
