Man injured in shooting at Phoenix park

One man was sent to the hospital in critical condition after a shooting at a park just west of Castles N' Coasters in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A man is expected to survive after being shot on Saturday at Cortez Park in Phoenix, which is on 35th Avenue, just north of Dunlap Avenue, southwest of Castles N' Coasters. 

Phoenix Police were called to the park after shots were fired. The callers told police that several people were seen running from the park after the shots were fired. 

Officers got to Cortez Park at 2:10 p.m. and found a man who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.
