PRESCOTT, Ariz. — A man in Prescott fired shots inside his home and was charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated domestic violence, authorities said.
Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of gunfire from a home in Prescott on Oct. 14, just before 9 p.m. YCSO dispatchers reported receiving calls from two different neighbors stating they heard multiple gunshots and a woman’s voice screaming “get away from me,” police added.
While deputies were responding to the call, dispatchers received an additional report of a family fight at the same location. When deputies arrived at the scene. They found the suspect’s girlfriend and daughter, and led them to safety, police said.
Deputies confirmed that the suspect, 48-year-old Jason Bueter from Prescott, fired 4-5 gunshots while in the downstairs of the home. Deputies then learned that Bueter was still inside the home and secured the area in an attempt to get him to surrender, authorities said.
The YCSO SWAT team, supported by the Prescott Valley Police Department SWAT team, attempted to get Bueter to surrender. After several hours, Bueter was taken into custody, authorities said.
