PHOENIX — A man has died after he was shot during a fight with a store employee Saturday morning, according to Phoenix police.
Police said the shooting happened just before 7 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of 44th Street and McDowell Road.
The shooting reportedly took place after a fight between an employee at a nearby business and the man.
The man was taken to the hospital with what police called "critical injuries" where he later died. The employee stayed at the scene where they spoke with officers. They have not been arrested.
Identities of the shooter or the man who was hurt have not been released and the investigation into what led up to the shooting is still ongoing.
