Investigation underway after Phoenix shooting leaves man dead, woman hospitalized

The shooting happened near I-17 and Camelback Road late Monday night, Phoenix police said.

PHOENIX — A man is dead and a woman is in the hospital after a shooting in Phoenix late Monday night, city police said. No arrests have been made.

The shooting happened near I-17 and Camelback Road around 10 p.m. When police arrived in the area, they found the two victims with gunshot wounds, authorities said. 

First responders took both the man and the woman to the hospital where the man later died, according to officials.

Detectives have been interviewing witnesses, but details about what led up to the shooting are still under investigation.

Police haven't disclosed the identities of the victims or any possible suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness.

Silent Witness:

Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case. 

Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
