Human bones were found in a farm field near Broadway Road and State Route 85 in Buckeye on Thursday.
Detectives from Buckeye police were on scene investigating.
It was not initially clear whether the bones were human or from an animal, according to police. Police later confirmed the bones were human.
Police are unable to determine in the bones are from a child or an adult until further examination is done.
